June 15

It’s that time. Linda and I head back to DeLand tomorrow morning. We will arrive in Orlando Saturday evening.

Had a good, full last day here.

Linda and I rode the 8:25 bus into the city from the Logan’s town.

We gave out lots of tracts and witnessed on the bus, near bus stops, in drug-addict alley, and in the main square.

At one bus stop, a G.O. priest dressed in his full black attire, shouted again and again to us in Greek that “There is only one church. Everyone not part of the Orthodox church is going to hell,” after looking at the copyright of our Greek Bible and seeing that it was not put out by the Orthodox group. He would not listen to our responses.

At around noon, Avra, who we met with on Tuesday, met us in the city square again. We walked to get coffee again and talked over an open Bible for about an hour, trying to answer more of her questions. She said she still has more questions, but is looking forward to coming back to the church service this Sunday. Praise God she is still seeking!

In the evening, after packing and dinner, several of us drove up to the new-church building. We saw the new sign that was put on the front window, the new painting that is almost finished, and they moved in the piano.

The sign looked GREAT! The name of the church (Bible Baptist Church (in Greek) and the picture of an open Bible can be seen from a main road running through the city. The time of the service- Sundays at 11:30- is also on the sign. It really turned out well and bold, and it only cost 65 Euros to have it made and applied onto the window (50 for the sign and 15 for graffiti-proof protection).

The painting, a light-blue, was well-done too. Electricity and ceiling lights should be set up soon. Praise God.

PRAY THAT GOD WILL FILL THIS CHURCH-HOUSE WITH MANY BORN-AGAIN PEOPLE!

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST:

Brother Logan’s visa to stay in Greece will expire Monday, June 25. Please pray that his lawyer who lives in Athens (about a 6 hour drive away) will get the job done that he said he would do in getting the Logan family the new visas they need to stay in Greece. Otherwise Brother Logan and possibly his family too will need to leave the country for a certain amount of time.

With new teams coming and going, they don’t want to have to miss any days here.

TEAM 2 ON OUR WAY OUT. PRAY FOR TEAM 3-BROTHER GRANDSTAFF AND HIS SON COMING FROM ALABAMA-ARRIVING ON TUESDAY!

Church family, we are looking forward to seeing you Sunday.
