Thanks be to our God for another day to head out with the Logan family to tell precious souls about the saving power of our saviour Jesus Christ.
Brother Brent took us to the Galerius’ Arch, a small fishing pond a great place to witness. As the scripture signs were stationed in position the gospel tracts started to flow. Then brother Brent starts to preach the gospel and the conversations start. A crowd gathers and people start to ask questions. As I look around, everyone had groups of people all around them engaged in conversation. Some ridicule, others reject thinking we are JWs, but many for the first time hear about the true living God and his love and his simple plan of salvation for their souls. Mrs. Cindy has 4 Greek young people around her speaking in English (picture 1 below), Benjamin is witnessing to a young man from the USA that is G.O. (picture 2 below), Bro. Brent is contending with a man about the difference between believing the Bible and tradition (picture 3 below), while I have 2 young men with me engaged in conversation about Christ. ALL OF THIS IS GOING ON AT THE SAME TIME.
These young people that Sister Cindy was witnessing to were complaining about Lydia being so young and that it was wrong for her to have no choice in the matter of what she was doing in passing out gospel tracts. Too bad the G.O. don’t apply the same reasoning to baptizing babies against their will. I explained to Anastasia, one of the girls, the Gospel of Jesus and that they have a free will to choose to accept or reject the Gospel. It was their choice. Praise God for a family that loves precious souls for whom Christ died. I pray that Christians back home would witness to my loved ones like that.
God leads me to a man sitting on a motor bike whose name is Gregory (picture 4). He is an off duty policeman and though he listens, he prefers to trust his G.O. religion. He said his brother is a priest but sadly says no one can be sure of heaven. He did not care for the word of God, but he heard the truth. Pray the Gospel will ring aloud in his heart and mind.
Bethany and Lydia come back to my back pack to reload gospel tracts as they pass out so many. Meanwhile, Brother Brent calls me over as he is witnessing to a young homeless lady who is addicted to drugs. As I start to share my testimony and show her the scriptures, she starts to read verse after verse (picture 5 below) as brother Brent distracts the drugged out boyfriend who was barely standing.
She starts to cry and wants to die. She shares that she has had so many over doses and is upset because God will not let her die. I explained to her that God loved her so much and wanted to save her soul and there was nothing worse then going to an eternal hell fire. Her name is Costadina. She says she wants a new life and wants to be clean inside and free from drugs and sin, but then sadly the addiction kicks in and she looks at me and says can you by me cigarettes.
Meanwhile brother Benjamin is witnessing to a man named Nikos another off duty police officer (picture 6 below).
This man looked so upset waving his hands around as I got closer. I could not believe what I was hearing, he was saying angrily, “the church, the priests are all corrupt thieves. They want money to bless, to pray, to marry, to baptize, to confess sins to. I am not going to give them anything. I am not going to pay for my salvation.” Benjamin and I could not agree more with him, and we told him salvation is a FREE GIFT FROM GOD. His face lit up and we said he could call to do a Bible study with us. He said he would. PRAISE GOD.

The National Greek Opera house of Thessaloniki has offered us a one day’s rental of their huge building to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and have a mass Bible give away in the city. The price was not cheap but neither was it exorbitant. I do not know if we will follow up on this or not, but it is interesting that they would even allow it. Similar meetings have been held in Romania and Moldova with great success. The open doors here are vast to say the least. We just need wisdom concerning which and when to enter.
