First Soul Saved!!!

On Wednesday, we headed back to the city center with our Romanian brethren to represent the Lord Jesus Christ. This was an unusual day. Never have we seen so many people in the city. The traffic was unusually heavy, and even all the public paying parking lots were full. We aren’t sure if the vacation season has brought more people into the city, but the streets were filled with multitudes of people. We had a great time singing and preaching of Jesus for hours on end. Tracts went like hotcakes. Then, while Bro. Brent was preaching, a mob seemed to form around Bro. Angelo. The gospel was certainly stirring the city. More than 20 people gathered around Angelo as he stood for Christ while Bro. Brent kept preaching. The large group turned very loud with all lifting up their voices in opposition or an occasional support of the truth. One angry woman led the disbelievers. We haven’t seen this much action to date. It got seriously emotional. Praise the Lord for the shaking of the people by the word of God. The crowd did not just pass by ignoring our witness. They were compelled to stand for it or against it. Finally, Bro. Brent grabbed Angelo out of the crowd. He moved away somewhat and began to preach in Greek. The crowd slowly disseminated.

The Romanians did a great job witnessing. More divine appointments were seen. More than 3 Romanians were met on the street Wednesday. They all received a good witness from our brethren. Bro. Adrian also preached in the Romanian language in the square. Mrs. Ana was led by the Lord to a lady who was very inquisitive about our sign. They began to speak in Romanian. The lady was so glad to see Mrs. Ana that she began hugging her. Elena and her husband had moved to Thessaloniki from Romania many years ago. Her father was a Greek and her mother a Romanian. She said she was saved but had no church to go to. Mrs. Ana invited her to a Wednesday night service that we had arranged all in the Romanian language because of their special visit. She was very happy to come and wanted to bring her husband who she said was lost. We finished our gospel labor and went home for food and rest until the evening.

Bro. Brent and Bro. Angelo had to meet with a Greek couple at 6pm who desired to study the Bible. The Romanian midweek service was scheduled for 7pm. Elena and her husband, Alexandru came to the 7pm service. We sang and preached in Romanian. All were blessed. After the service, the Romanian brethren began to speak more personally to the visiting couple. They extended an invitation for us to come to their home on Thursday for a detailed visit about the gospel of Jesus Christ.

THURSDAY morning we went to their home and spent much time showing the way of salvation by grace through faith apart from works. For the first time in his life, Alexandru knew what he needed to do to be saved. He bowed his head, folded his hands, and called out on his own to Jesus Christ for forgiveness and salvation. PRAISE THE LORD! He smiled the smile of the redeemed and kept telling me that he knew now he was saved!!!!

There is no doubt that the Lord sent our Romanian brethren to Thessaloniki to fish for men. It doesn’t matter if they are Greek, Romanian, black, or white. Jesus wants to save people from their sins.

WHO WILL BE THE NEXT TO BE PLUCKED FROM THE BURNING?
DOES THIS NOT MAKE THE MONEY AND EFFORT WORTH IT?
YOU WILL SEE ANOTHER SOUL IN HEAVEN BECAUSE OF THIS PROJECT!
YOU HAVE A NEW BROTHER IN CHRIST BECAUSE SOMEONE CARED TO COME!
